Here we go...

Year 8 in 3rd grade...let's do this. Tomorrow is meet the teacher and I'm ready to put some sweet faces to all the name labels I've been working on. Still self contained dual language so "me siento muy...muy...excited!"

Little Arianna will be starting kindergarten this year! Not too far up the hall from me. Was weird not having one of my children on campus with me last year. On the other hand, Alexander will be at a whole different district then me for 6th grade. It's definitely going to be an exciting year for us all!

Will do much better at sharing this year too, promise. For example my "little things" that have made a world of difference for me this first week of inservice: Spark, teacher planner, cute pens. (Ok last one was really just for fun).

What are some of your MUST haves to get started?

Seasons and Situations

Y si.
 I know He gives us every season for a reason. I also know how we should't rush through them but live or wait them through while seeking His wisdom. But here lately, I feel like Texas.
Alllllll my seasons seem to run together and show up in exactly one day.
(If you are from TX you know exactly what I'm talking about.)

 Here lately I've been hoping and even trying to pray away my "situations", or drown my self in busyness to escape them. Saw this on good ol' Instagram and BAM, makes so much sense. He is changing me and I am simply trying to resist. While it is uncomfortable and scary, change is happening. I can take it on and grow or try to resist it and make the journey even harder by denying His help.

 Some change that is happening is liberating and feels good; self growth. Other changes feel not so good. All I know is, there's no going back now and with Him the trials and tribulations will be easier to handle. For He is in control and while the outcome might be a mystery to me, it is comforting to know HE KNOWS! He's already got it handled and resolved. It is my job to seek and follow. It might hurt, shoot-it will hurt. I will fall. I will be a hot mess. But His hot mess. So thankful for that. He takes me as I am. I will live through these "Texas Emotional Change Seasons" and come out stronger. I will.

Because He. Is. In. Control.
Just hold on :)

There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven-
A time to give birth and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
A time to kill and a time to heal;
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to weep and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn and a time to dance.
A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.
A time to search and a time to give up as lost;
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear apart and a time to sew together;
A time to be silent and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate;
A time for war and a time for peace.
